Meet the Urbanview Staff
Urbanview Dental is more than just a trip to the dentist. This practice was founded on principles of quality, transparent, and trustworthy dental care, promoting patient education. Empowering our patients, we arm them with thorough information so they can make the best decisions possible about their dental care and treatment options – it’s at the core of our practice. Dr. Sara Shayan
Dr. Sara Shayan graduated from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, in 2013. She further honed her skills during a year-long residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry at the University of Texas in San Antonio, gaining valuable experience in complex dental procedures.
Returning to her native Ontario, Dr. Shayan is passionate about educating patients on preventive dentistry and delivering exceptional dental care. Her expertise includes implant placement and restoration, complex extractions, bone augmentation, connective tissue grafts, sinus lifts, CAD/CAM technology, and IV conscious sedation.
Dr. Shayan is dedicated to combining advanced techniques with patient comfort to achieve optimal oral health outcomes.
Dr. Tae Kyum Nah
Originally from Vancouver, Dr. TK Nah earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree with honours from the University of Toronto. He is passionate about relieving patient pain while emphasizing education on prevention and oral health maintenance.
Dr. Nah has a special interest in preventive care, restorative dentistry, and Invisalign treatments, helping patients achieve healthy, confident smiles.
Outside the clinic, he enjoys reading, spending quality time with friends and family, and staying active through sports like ultimate frisbee.

Dr. Alida Andersen
Dr. Alida Andersen is a caring and devoted dentist known for her calm, friendly approach and holistic patient care. She takes time to thoroughly explain procedures, involve patients in decisions, and provide extra support for those with dental anxiety. Dr. Andersen earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery from Western University’s Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry in 2009 and her Honours Bachelor of Science from the University of Toronto in 2005.
Beyond dentistry, Dr. Andersen is a passionate advocate for environmental sustainability, focusing on greener dentistry and plastic pollution awareness through lectures and her YouTube channel, Alida Eco. She is also actively involved in supporting human rights efforts, including providing dental emergency advice to protesters in Iran.
Dr. Andersen is currently on leave and will be returning to the office in September 2025.
Dr. Azin Orumchi
Dr. Azin earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry at the University of Western Ontario. With experience practicing both in the Greater Toronto Area and internationally, she is committed to making a positive impact on her patients’ oral health through continuous learning and responsible care.
Dr. Azin embraces a preventative and aesthetic approach to dentistry, with a special interest in orthodontic treatments such as Invisalign, as well as cosmetics, endodontics, and restorative dentistry. She believes in treating every patient with respect, kindness, and efficiency.
Outside the dental office, Dr. Azin is a professional artist who enjoys working with oil paints for their noble technique and pencil for intricate detail. She is also a devoted dog lover and enjoys spending time with her adorable Dalmatian puppy.
